Three SPU Track Athletes Going to NCAA Indoor Meet
February 28, 2006

SEATTLE (Feb. 28) ­ Three members of the Seattle Pacific University women's track and field team have made the final cut for the NCAA Division II Championships Mar. 10-11 in Boston.

Teona Perkins (Jr., Kennewick, Wa.) will compete in two events, entering as the No. 2 seed in the high jump and No. 7 in the 800 meters.

Amy Harris (Sr., Corvallis, Or./Crescent Valley) is making her third trip to a national meet in the pole vault. She was 11th indoors and fifth outdoors as a junior.

Mary Moriarty (Fr., Seattle, Wa./Ballard) qualified for the mile, a race in which she twice broke the SPU record this winter.

The Falcons were eighth in the 2005 NCAA indoor team standings.
