Go Figure: SPU Men Slide Out of Top 10 for First Time in 12 Weeks

SEATTLE (Feb. 21) ­ Strangely, Seattle Pacific University fell out of the NCAA Division II men's basketball top 10 less than a week after beating the then-No. 2 team in the nation.

The Falcons (20-4) were shoved eight spots down to No. 16 after splitting with Western Washington and Central Washington. Western lost twice and fell 10 spots to No. 12. SPU had been in the top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks.

Fort Hays State of Kansas retained the poll position in the NABC coaches rankings, earning all eight first-place votes.

Seattle Pacific plays at Seattle University Thursday night.
