Broncos Dominate Tri-Meet As SPU Gymnasts Tumble Third

Boise, Id. (Feb. 17) – Lindsay Ward finished first on three events en route to winning the all-around competition and helped Boise State defeat both Utah State and Seattle Pacific in a women’s gymnastics meet Friday night at Taco Bell Area.

Ward totaled 39.225 in the all-around as the Broncos scored 193.525 over Utah State (192.225) and Seattle Pacific (188.375). Ward also won uneven bars (9.875) and balance beam (9.900) and was part of a four-way tie on floor exercise (9.750).

Other first-place finishers on floor were Megan Lewis and Jessica Parenti from Utah State and Taylor Jacob from Boise State. Additionally, BSU’s Amber Neroes won vault with a 9.800. Parenti and Jacob finished second (38.900) and third (38.750) in the all-around, respectively.

Seattle Pacific (2-7) returns home for Senior Night Feb. 25.
