SEATTLE (Feb. 12) Amy Harris and Teona Perkins of Seattle Pacific University reached Great Northwest Athletic Conference season-best marks in the pole vault and high jump, respectively, at the UW Open indoor track and field meet Sunday.

Harris (Sr., Corvallis, Or.), Perkins (Jr., Kennewick, Wa.) and miler Brian Cronrath (So., Battle Ground, Wa.) all made the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying list.

Harris achieved an indoor personal best and the No. 2 mark in SPU records by clearing 12 feet, 2 inches. Perkins, already a qualifier in the 800 meters, high-jumped 5-5.

Cronrath improved his PR by nearly 3 seconds to 4:14.41, another No. 2 all-time school mark.

In other events, Kelsey Cooley (So., Missoula, Mt.) long-jumper a PR of 17-6¼ (No. 2 in the GNAC) and Suzie Strickler (Fr., Richland, Wa.) time of 2:18.75 in the 800 was third-best in conference this winter.

The GNAC Championships are Saturday in Nampa, Id.
