Falcon Men Bounce Back to No. 5 in National Hoop Rankings
January 31, 2006

SEATTLE (Jan. 31) -- Seattle Pacific University reentered the nation's top five and reclaimed a first-place vote in the men's basketball rankings for NCAA Division II this week.

The Falcons (16-2) jumped two spots to No. 5, just behind Western Washington, the only Div. II team to defeat SPU and the co-leader in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

Losses by the top four teams from last week's poll prompted Virginia Union to take over at No. 1 from Montevallo (Al). Fort Hays State of Kansas is No. 2. The No. 3 team, Southern Indiana, also received one first-place vote.

Seattle Pacific resumes a four-game home stand Thursday night against Humboldt State.
