SEATTLE (Jan. 30) -- Seattle Pacific Universitys
Mandy Wood was selected as the womens basketball player of
the week in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference after scoring
49 points in a pair of home wins.
Wood (Sr., 5-6, Port Angeles, Wa.) had 20
points in both the victories over Alaska Fairbanks and Alaska
Anchorage. She hit on 17 of 32 shots and also had nine assists and
five steals as the Falcons extended their win streak to seven. She
currently ranks 14th in GNAC history in career scoring (1,142),
fourth in three-pointers (193), ninth in assists (338) and 10th in
steals (158).
SPU (13-4) plays at Seattle University Thursday
