SEATTLE (Jan. 29) Seattle Pacific
University's Amy Harris cleared an NCAA provisional qualify height
in the pole vault at the Washington Indoor Open track and field
meet Sunday at the Dempsey Facility.
Brian Cronrath, Eddie Strickler and Teona
Perkins of SPU ran for wins in their respective races.
Harris (Sr., Corvallis, Or./Crescent Valley),
also a Div. Qualifier a year ago, took second in the event, with a
best effort of 11 feet, 5¾ inches. Hawaii's Tiara Krismunando
won at 11-9¾.
Cronrath (So., Battle Ground, Wa.) was clocked
in the Falcons' No. 2 all-time time (4:07.23) in the men's mile.
Strickler (Jr., Richland, Wa.) ran the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference's fastest 600 (1:22.31) and Perkins (Jr., Kennewick,
Wa.) the best time in the 400 (58.85) this season.
The Falcons' Karin Rohde (So., Bellingham,
Wa./Mount Baker) clocked the school's No. 2 time in the taking
fourth in the 5000 (18:18.70).
Seattle Pacific's next action comes Feb. 11-12
at the Husky Classic and UW Open No. 3.
