SEATTLE (Jan. 24) The first loss in more
than a month prompted Seattle Pacific University to slide four
spots to No. 7 in the men's basketball rankings for NCAA Division
II this week.
From an all-time high of No. 3 a week ago, the
Falcons (14-2) fell after losing at No. 2 Western Washington.
Montevallo (Al.) retained the No. 1 position
for a third week in a row, this time earning all eight first-place
votes. Besides Seattle Pacific and Western Washington, the only
other West Region team to be ranked is Grand Canyon (Az.) at No.
15.
SPU begins a four-game home stand Thursday
night against Saint Martin's.
