SEATTLE (Jan. 18) ­ Seattle Pacific University finds itself in the unfamiliar position of No. 6 in the initial NCAA Division II West Regional women's basketball poll.

After three consecutive years as the No. 1 team, that mantle was passed to UC San Diego this week. The Toreros are listed ahead of Cal State Bakersfield and Western Washington.
