SEATTLE (Jan. 18) ­ Seattle Pacific University is listed at No. 2 in the first NCAA Division II West Region men's basketball rankings.

The Falcons (13-1) trail only Western Washington in the ratings which will ultimately determine the teams and seeding for the postseason tournament in March. SPU visits the Vikings Saturday night in Bellingham.

Six of the 10 teams in the regional ranking are Great Northwest Athletic Conference members. Seattle Pacific and Western are currently tied atop the GNAC with 5-0 records.
