SEATTLE (Jan. 16) ­ With an NCAA qualifying mark in her first race, Teona Perkins of Seattle Pacific University was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference women's indoor track and field athlete of the week.

Perkins (Jr., Kennewick, Wa.) ran a provisional qualifying time of 2 minutes, 16.38 seconds to take seventh place overall at the Washington Preview.

The Falcons next compete Jan. 28-29 at Washington.
