The other top-five placement for the women was Sharon Bjella (Jr., Everett, Wa./Everett), who was fifth in the high jump (5-3).

For the SPU men, Chris Randolph (Sr., Lone Tree, Co.) was fourth in both the long jump (22-4 1/2) and the high jump (6-4 3/4). The former mark was just 2 inches off Randolph's school record.

Eddie Strickler (Jr., Richland, Wa.) ran a strong 800, taking seventh in 1:57.61.
