Falcons Slide to 14th in Women's Hoops Rankings
December 20, 2005

SEATTLE (Dec. 20) Although Seattle Pacific University stopped a brief two-game losing streak, the Falcons continued to slide down the NCAA Division II women's basketball rankings this week.

Seattle Pacific (5-2) dropped four more spots, from No. 10 to No. 14, in this week's USA TODAY/ESPN coaches poll. SPU plays Cal Poly Pomona Tuesday night (Dec. 20) and Cal State Bakersfield Wednesday (Dec. 21) before the Christmas break.

Defending national champion Washburn (Ks.) remained No. 1 in the nation, earning 2 of 24 first-place votes. Western Washington is No. 7 and Chico State, which dealt SPU its first defeat, is No. 12.
