Seattle Pacific Men Now 6th in National Rankings
December 20, 2005

SEATTLE (Dec. 20) Seattle Pacific University's first men's basketball loss resulted in only a marginal drop in this week's NABC Coaches Poll for NCAA Division II men's basketball.

The Falcons (7-1), whose sole defeat was at Nevada, are now No. 6 in the nation. They had been No. 5 the previous two weeks. SPU visits Cal Poly Pomona Wednesday night (Dec. 21).

Virginia Union, which was idle, took over at No. 1, replacing Montevallo. Western Washington rose to No. 3. Alaska Fairbanks joined the rankings at No. 22.

The next rankings will be Jan. 10.
