SEATTLE (Dec. 19) ­Tony Binetti of Seattle Pacific University was named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men's basketball co-player of the week after scoring a total of 41 points in the Falcons' two wins at the High Desert Classic.

Binetti (Sr., 6-1, Enumclaw, Wa.) poured in a career-high 22 points Missouri Southern and followed with 19 versus Pittsburg State (Ks.) as SPU went to 7-1. In the two games he was 7-8 on three-pointers and also had five assists, four steals and two blocked shots.

In three games , including a loss at Nevada, Binetti had 53 points and made 17 of 24 field goals.

SPU plays at Cal Poly Pomona Wednesday night.
