Vaillancourt Becomes SPU Men’s First All-American in Five Years
December 8, 2005

SEATTLE (Dec. 8) – Ross Vaillancourt became Seattle Pacific University’s first men’s soccer All-American in five years after being voted to the NCAA Division II third team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Ross Vaillancourt

Vaillancourt (Sr., Bedford, NH/Manchester West) is the Falcons first All-American since Dana Garner in 2000 and the 19th overall. The midfielder, a four-time all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference and two-time all-region selection, contributed three goals and four assists this season. He started the final 54 games of his career.

Seattle Pacific (15-3-3) advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament and was ranked No. 7 in the final coaches poll.

Vaillancourt was one of only three players from the Far West Region to make the three adidas/NSCAA All-America teams, and he was the only GNAC player.
