SEATTLE (Nov. 28) Kellen Rosten and Ross
Vaillancourt of Seattle Pacific University have been voted to the
NSCAA all-Far West Region men's soccer first team.
The Falcons, who finished the season 15-3-3 and
advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament,
placed Andy Willis (Jr., Gig Harbor, Wa./Gig Harbor) and Matt
Kemper (So., Colorado Springs, Co./Palmer) on the all-region
second team.
Rosten (So., Colorado Springs, Co./Doherty) had
been voted the Great Northwest Athletic Conference player of the
year. He finished third in NCAA goalkeeper save percentage (.890)
and No. 7 in goals-against average (0.60).
Vaillancourt (Sr., Bedford, NH/Manchester
West), a midfielder, was a second team regional pick in 2004. He
finished with three goals and four assists.
Willis was the SPU co-leader in scoring with
eight goals. Kemper, a defender, helped Seattle Pacific finish
seventh nationally in scoring defense.
