SEATTLE (Nov. 10) ­ Megan Hoisington of Central Kitsap High School has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Seattle Pacific University next season.

Hoisington, the Cougars' leader in scoring (14.5), rebounding (8.8) and blocked shots (1.1) as a junior, is the daughter of Greg Hoisington, who played at SPU from 1977-82. Megan was voted first team all-Narrows League last season when Central Kitsap was 20-6 and qualified for the state 4A tournament.

Seattle Pacific finished 30-3 and was the NCAA Division II runner-up in 2005. The Falcons and new coach Julie van Beek begin the regular season next Tuesday (Nov. 15) by hosting Northwest University.
