SEATTLE (Nov. 10) ­ Alyssa Given of Seattle Pacific University has been voted to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 team for volleyball.

Given (So., Salinas, Ca./Notre Dame), the 16th-ranked Falcons' leader in kills and service aces, is a nursing major with a 3.79 grade point average. She was named to the second team for a region which includes eight western states and two Canadian provinces.

SPU (21-5) can clinch an automatic berth in the NCAA Division II tournament and a share of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference title with a win at Northwest Nazarene in the final regular season match Saturday.
