SEATTLE (Nov. 7) Seattle Pacific
University goalkeeper Kellen Rosten was named the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference men's soccer player of the week after posting
two shutouts to help assure the Falcons of making the NCAA
tournament.
Rosten (So., Colorado Springs, Co./Doherty)
made a total of 12 saves in wins over Western Washington (5-0) and
Seattle University (1-0). Among his eight saves vs. the Redhawks
were a diving stop of a free kick and his parry of a penalty kick
when the game was scoreless. Rosten now has 10 shutouts this
season.
SPU (14-2-3) plays Sonoma State (12-8-2) in a
first-round NCAA tournament game Saturday (Nov. 12) in Carson, Ca.
