SEATTLE (Nov. 1) One of four remaining
unbeaten teams in NCAA Division II, Seattle Pacific University
maintained its No. 2 position in the women's soccer rankings this
week.
The undefeated Falcons (15-0-3) trail defending
national champion Metro State (Co.), the only team (20-0-0)
without a tie, in the NSCAA/adidas women's soccer coaches poll.
Behind SPU are West Florida (17-0-2) and West
Chester (Pa.) (18-0-2), the other remaining unbeaten teams.
Other ranked teams from the Far West Region are
No. 16 Cal State Stanislaus and No. 17 UC San Diego.
SPU hosts Central Washington Wednesday night
and Seattle University Saturday night to conclude the regular
season.
A new NCAA regional ranking will be issued
Wednesday.
