SEATTLE (Nov. 1) Seattle Pacific
University starts the final week of the men's soccer regular
season ranked No. 5 in the NSCAA/adidas national coaches poll and
No. 2 in the Far West Region of NCAA Division II.
The Falcons (12-2-3) have won five of their
last six going into Wednesday night's Great Northwest Athletic
Conference game at Western Washington. The final regular season
game is at home Saturday against Seattle University.
The regional ranking, which determines which
three teams advance to the NCAA tournament, lists Cal State
Dominguez Hills ahead of SPU. Playoff brackets will be announced
Nov. 7. The top seed earns a first-round bye and the right to host
the regional tournament Nov. 10 and 12.
Fort Lewis (Co.) replaced Southern
Illinois-Edwardsville as the No. 1 team in the national coaches
poll.
