SEATTLE (Nov. 1) ­ Dustin Bremerman and Mike Bushmaker combined for 40 points as Seattle Pacific University beat Another Level Blue Angels 102-79 in a men's basketball preseason game Tuesday night at Brougham Pavilion.

The Falcons pulled away in the final 11 minutes, reeling off 11 straight points to go ahead 79-60. The Blue Angels got no closer than 14 thereafter.

Bremerman (Jr., 6-4, Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower), who finished with 21 points scored the first five points of the surge and Bushmaker (Sr., Yakima, Wa./Eisenhower) contributed the final six. He had 19 points off the bench.

Former Eastern Washington guard Ryan Hanson led the Blue Angels with 36 points­30 coming in the second half. Dan Kreft, ex-Northwestern center, had 13 and a game-high 10 rebounds.

Seattle Pacific went on an 11-point tear to take control in the first period. Tony Binetti (Sr., 6-1, Enumclaw, Wa.) hit a three-pointer for a 34-16 advantage.

Back-to-back treys by Hanson brought the Blue Angels back within 68-60 in the second stanza.

In all, six SPU player finished in double figures and the team shot 47 percent (40-86), despite missing 20 of 28 three-pointers. Drew Matzen (Jr., Bothell, Wa./Lynnwood) had 11 points and nine rebounds.

Seattle Pacific visits BYU Nov. 10 and New Mexico Nov. 12. The regular season opener is Nov. 18 at home versus Cal State Monterey Bay.
