REDDING, Calif. (Oct. 22) Saturday's
men's soccer game between Seattle Pacific University and Humboldt
State was postponed after dense fog stranded the No. 5-ranked
Falcons at Redding's airport since Friday afternoon.
Flights into Eureka were canceled due to the
fog and SPU coach Cliff McCrath said the lack of visibility in
that area also made it impossible to arrange for a charter bus
from Redding to Arcata, where the Great Northwest Athletic
Conference game was scheduled for 12 p.m.
McCrath added that there was no assurance that
his team could get in or out of the Eureka-Arcata area before
Monday. It is uncertain whether the game will be rescheduled.
Seattle Pacific (10-2-3) is next scheduled to
play Grand Canyon in Phoenix Thursday night (Oct. 27).
