BELLINGHAM, Wash. (Oct. 1) ­ Jamie Anderson hit six of her 15 kills in the final game as Western Washington dealt 16th-ranked Seattle Pacific University its second straight defeat, 3-1, in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference volleyball match Saturday at Carver Gym.

The Vikings (5-2, 9-6), who were led by Krystal Knight's 19 kills, defeated the Falcons (5-2, 11-5), 30-23,32-30,21-30 and 30-26. Rachel Biornstad (So, Kent, Wa./Kentlake) topped SPU with 16 kills and four blocks while Alyssa Given (So., Salinas, Ca.) added 14 kills.

Western staved off two game points before winning Game Two 32-30. After Biornsatd helped the Falcons pull a game back, Anderson, Tiana Roma and Sarah Primrose combined for 15 kills in the fourth frame to clinch the Vikings' eighth win in the teams' last nine meetings.

Seattle Pacific, which had a six-match win string snapped at No. 11 Central Washington Thursday, finished with a slight 8-6 edge in blocks but hit only .226 on the attack compared to .231 for WWU. Individually, Biornstad hit .350 and setter Jenna Von Moos (Jr., Stanwood, Wa.) hit .556 (10 kills in 18 attempts). Libero Torii Mount (Fr., Fr., Gresham, Or.) had 30 digs and Given 21.

SPU returns home for its next four matches, beginning Thursday against Saint Martin's.
