SPU Climbs Still Two More Rungs in National Volleyball Rankings
September 26, 2005

SEATTLE (Sept. 26) ­ Six consecutive wins have pushed Seattle Pacific University still higher in the NCAA Division II volleyball rankings as the Falcons face their biggest Great Northwest Athletic Conference clash thus far.

Seattle Pacific (5-0, 11-3) is now No. 16 in the CSTV/AVCA coaches poll and faces No. 11 Central Washington Thursday night at Ellensburg.

SPU dispatched both Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks in three games at home last week. The Wildcats are the sixth nationally-ranked team the Falcons have met this season. All three losses this season were to currently in the top 25.

Truman State (Mo.) is No. 1 for the fourth week in a row. Central Washington dropped two spots following a loss at Seattle University.
