SPU Climbs Two Spots to No. 18 in Volleyball

SEATTLE (Sept. 19) ­ Following its fourth straight win, Seattle Pacific University has risen to No. 18 in the NCAA Division II volleyball coaches poll.

The Falcons (9-3), reaching an all-time high for the second week in a row, moved up two spots after road wins at Western Oregon and Humboldt State. This is their third straight week in the CSTV/AVCA poll.

Seattle Pacific's next match is Thursday night at home against Alaska Anchorage.

Two of the three losses this season have been to ranked foes: No. 13 Ferris State (Mi.) and No. 20 Cal State L.A.

Truman State (Mo.) is No. 1 for the third week in a row, but three other teams received at least two first-place votes.
