SPU Reaches All-Time High in Volleyball Rankings
September 13, 2005

SEATTLE (Sept. 13) ­Seattle Pacific University has reached its highest national ranking in volleyball, rising to No. 20 in this week's CSTV/AVCA poll of NCAA Division II programs.

With its third victory over a nationally-ranked team this season, the Falcons (7-3) jumped four spots to eclipse their previous high ranking of No. 23 in 2001.

Seattle Pacific goes on the road this week, with Great Northwest Athletic Conference matches at Western Oregon and Humboldt State.

Truman State (Mo.) remains No. 1 in the nation , followed by Cal State San Bernardino and Nebraska Kearney. Including SPU, eight of the top 25 teams are from the Pacific Region.
