SEATTLE (Sept. 12) ­ Meredith Crane of Seattle Pacific University was named the women's cross country runner of the week following her victory at the Emerald City Open.

Crane (Jr., Yakima, Wa./Davis), a transfer from Texas A&M, won the 5000-meter race by a margin of 10 seconds and 41 seconds over the next collegian. The Falcons also won the team title.

This Saturday SPU will compete in the Sundodger Invitational at Lincoln Park.
