Seattle Pacific Men Rocket to No. 5 in Poll

SEATTLE (Sept. 6) ­ Thanks to their best start in 12 years, the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team has rocketed to No. 5 in the NCAA Division II coaches poll.

Going into Tuesday night's game at Cal Poly Pomona, the Falcons (3-0-1), unranked in the preseason, earned their best position in the NSCAA/adidas ratings since 1999. SPU will play at No. 12 Cal State Dominguez in Carson, Ca., Saturday.

Tusculum (Tn.) is No. 1, followed by Southern Illinois Edwardsville and Central Arkansas.
