SEATTLE (Sept. 5) -- Kellen Rosten of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men’s soccer player of the week after holding opponents scoreless in two wins.

Rosten (So., Colorado Springs, Co./Doherty) had a total of 11 saves while playing 161 minutes in shutout wins over San Francisco State and Sonoma State. He had four point-blank stops versus Sonoma State and, with a long goal kick, also earned an assist on the Falcons’ clinching goal. Rosten leads the GNAC with a goals-against average of 0.50.

SPU (3-0-1) plays its next five games on the road, beginning Tuesday night at Cal Poly Pomona.
