SEATTLE, Wa. (Aug. 17)Seattle Pacific
University will kick off its 2005 soccer campaign ranked 9th in a
preseason womens soccer poll conducted by the National
Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The Falcons, who return seven starters from
last years 19-1-2 squad, open the regular season Saturday,
August 27th at Interbay Stadium versus Chico State. The Wildcats
were among several teams receiving votes in the preseason poll.
Metro State of Colorado is the top-ranked team
in NCAA Division II. Seattle University, which defeated SPU in the
2004 NCAA Far West Region Championship Match sits at No. 6.
