SEATTLE (July 20) Colin Rigby, a native
of Mercer Island who played two years of soccer at Denver
University, is one of three transfers committed to playing men's
soccer for Seattle Pacific University this season.
In addition, the Falcons will be joined by
junior college transfers C.J. Moe (Lewis & Clark High
School/Spokane Community College) and David Reuhl (Bothell
HS/Bellevue CC).
Rigby, who will be a junior for SPU, was an
all-KingCo selection as a senior for the Islanders, who were state
runners-up in 2001 and '02. He started in 16 games at forward
during his first season at Denver but saw action in only eight
games last year. Rigby also played for Crossfire Sounders, state
champs in '00, '01 and '03.
Reuhl, a former Crossfire teammate of Rigby,
was an NWAACC all-star for two seasons at Bellevue, and scored 12
goals as a sophomore in 2003. He was a two-time all-KingCo
selection for Bothell.
Moe, a forward, was an all-star in his only
season at Spokane CC where he scored six goals last fall. As a
senior at Lewis & Clark, he scored 20 goals to earn all-state
and Great Spokane League co-offensive MVP honors.
Earlier, Seattle Pacific had received
commitments from four freshmen. The Falcons, who were 12-3-2 and
ranked 25th nationally last season, open their season Aug. 25 at
Chico State.
