July 17, 2005

2005 Women's Soccer Schedule

SEATTLE - Interbay Stadium will be the site of Seattle Pacific University's first three women's soccer games in 2005 as the Falcons seek their third straight trip to the NCAA tournament.

The Falcons, who were 19-1-2 last year, have won 25 consecutive regular season home games at Interbay. They host Chico State to open the season Aug. 27, and meet Biola Aug. 27 and Sonoma State Sept. 3 before going on the road for four matches, including the Great Northwest Athletic Conference opener at Northwest Nazarene Sept. 16.

Another homestand of four games begins Sept. 19. SPU plays eight of its final 13 games at home. The regular season concludes Nov. 5 when it faces Seattle University under the lights Nov. 5.

Among Coach Chuck Sekyras returnees are all-Americans Shannon Lovejoy and Michelle Everson. Seven starters are back from the team which finished No. 9 in the nation.
