SEATTLE (July 11) ­ Jackie Hollands, a former all-state player from Oregon City, will play women's basketball for Seattle Pacific University next season after transferring from the University of Washington.

Hollands, a 5-foot-9 guard, was an honorable mention prep All-American at Oregon City, which on its fourth straight Oregon 4A title and was ranked No. 4 in the nation during her senior season.

At Washington this past season, Hollands played in nine games, averaging 1.4 points per game.

Hollands will be joining an SPU squad which reached the NCAA Division II championship game for the first time after winning a third straight Great Northwest Athletic Conference crown and second straight regional title. The Falcons will return four starters.
