SEATTLE (June 20) Brian Lynch, a 6-foot
guard from the University of Montana, has signed a basketball
scholarship agreement with Seattle Pacific University.
Lynch, who will be a junior next season, was an
academic all-Big Sky Conference selection for the Grizzlies as a
sophomore, and started four games. A hand injury forced him to
miss several games toward the end of the season. Over two seasons
Lynch averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 assists.
Lynch led Montana prep players with a scoring
average of 26.8 points as a senior at Great Falls High School to
earn all-state honors.
Seattle Pacific is coming off an appearance in
the NCAA Division II tournament and a 20-9 record under head coach
Jeff Hironaka. The Falcons, who earlier signed of Sedro Woolley
guard Adam Wardell and Shorewood High forward Rob Diederichs, will
return three starters next season.
