SEATTLE (May 31) Amber Lundgren, a Level
10 state champion gymnast from Temecula, Calif., has signed
national letter of intent to compete for Seattle Pacific
University next season.
Lundgren, who competed for Southern California
Elite Gymnastics Academy (SCEGA), is the third recruit signed by
Coach Laurel Tindall.
Lundgren won the beam and was second in the
SoCal state championships all-around. Regionally, she tied for
fourth on beam and placed seventh on floor and 10th in the
all-around. Earlier, Lundgren won two floor titles at Level 9
regionals and also a Level 8 vault crown. She is a senior at
Temecula Valley High School.
Tindall received previous commitments from
local recruits Brianna Schwartz and Danna Nelson.
Seattle Pacific is one of the top small college
programs in the nation with three national championships and 21
top-four national finishes in the last 22 years. The Falcons were
third at the 2005 USA Gymnastics Collegiate Championships. They
lose three seniors.
