SEATTLE (Apr. 19) Adam Wardell, a
6-foot-2 senior at Sedro Woolley High School, has signed a
basketball national letter of intent with Seattle Pacific
University.
Wardell was the Northwest League most valuable
player this past season, averaging 20.5 points and 6.2 assists
from his point guard position. He helped lead the Cubs (18-9) to a
district title and seventh place in the state 3A tournament.
Wardell was a two-time all-NWL selection,
making second team as a junior. He was a first team all-league
receiver in football as well.
Seattle Pacific is coming off an appearance in
the NCAA Division II tournament and a 20-9 record under head coach
Jeff Hironaka. The Falcons will return three starters next season.
