Chivers Repeats As Coaches' Choice for Men's Basketball All-Region

SEATTLE (Mar. 23) – Jason Chivers of Seattle Pacific University, who led the Falcons into the NCAA tournament and a 20-win season, was named to the West Region first team by a vote of the coaches.

Chivers (Sr., 6-8, Los Angeles, Ca.), who was a second team pick as a junior by the NABC members and also a Daktronics second team pick this season, was the top SPU scorer (15.7) and rebounder (10.2) this season. Seattle Pacific finished 20-9.

Also making the regional first team were Brad Oleson of Alaska Fairbanks, Grant Dykstra of Western Washington, Hawaii Hilo’s Osadonor Esene, and regional champion Cal Poly Pomona’s Jeff Bonds and David Sybesma.
