SEATTLE (Mar. 15) -- Seattle Pacific University
goalkeeper Jennifer Hull, who was both an All-American and
Academic All-American during her senior season, has been awarded
an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.
Hull (Sr., Eugene, Or./Sheldon) becomes the
16th NCAA postgraduate scholar for the Falcons and the first from
the four-year-old women's soccer program. She finished third in
Division II goals-against average in her final season after
leading the NCAA as a junior.
A double major in Latin America studies and
political science, Hull has a cumulative grade point average of
3.58. She was first team ESPN Academic All-America and was earlier
chosen academic all-region for the second year in a row and
academic all-Great Northwest Athletic Conference for the third
time.
Hull, a four-year starter, finished the season
with a GAA of 0.38 and 10 shutouts. Seattle Pacific was ranked No.
1 in the nation for much of the year and finished 19-1-2 after
claiming an GNAC title for the third consecutive year and making
the NCAA playoffs for the second time.
The NCAA has awarded 56 postgraduate
scholarships of $7,500 each to 28 male student-athletes and 28
female student-athletes who participated in fall sports.
