SEATTLE (Mar. 9) Seattle Pacific
University's Molly Hornbuckle and Chris Randolph have been named
the track and field athletes of the week in the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference after their starring roles in last week's
first outdoor meet.
Randolph (Jr., Lone Tree, Co./Denver Christian)
won three events at the University of Puget Sound Three-Way meet,
hitting personal bests in the 110meter hurdles (15.24) and discus
(134-9) and also winning the javelin (169-3) and finishing second
in the high jump (6-2 1/2).
Hornbuckle, (So., Burien, Wa./Highline)
recorded an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark of 140-3
in winning the javelin and leading the Falcons to the team title
at UPS. Her mark was eight feet better than her previous PR.
SPU will join four other teams in the Joe
Peyton Invitational Saturday in Tacoma.
