SEATTLE (Feb. 28) Seattle Pacific
University's distance medley relay team of Josie Lavin (Jr.,
Bremerton, Wa./Bremerton), Kinyatta Leonhardt (So., Petaluma,
Ca./St. Vincent), Bridgette Sexton (Fr., LaCenter, Wa.) and Karen
Dickson (So., El Dorado Hills, Ca./Oak Ridge) shared women's
indoor track and field athlete of the week honors after posting a
top national provisional qualifying time.
The Falcon foursome won their last outing in a
school and GNAC-record 11 minutes, 55.21 seconds, which ranks
ninth in NCAA Division II this season Lavin ran the1200-meter leg,
followed by Leonhardt (400), Sexton (800) and Dickson (1600).
A final determination of accepted entries for
the NCAA Championships will be made Tuesday. The meet is Mar.
11-12 in Boston.
