SAN JOSE, Ca. (Feb. 19) - Debra Huss won the
all-around competition for the second time this weekend, but it
was not enough to lift Seattle Pacific University over San Jose
State and UC Davis in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation
gymnastics meet Saturday night at Spartan Arena.
Seattle Pacific scored a season-low 188.275 as
the Falcons dropped the meet to defending MSPF champion San Jose
State (191.150) and UC Davis (188.600).
Debra Huss (So., Orangevale, Ca.) was the
meet's top finisher on all-around (38.650) thanks to individual
first-place finishes on beam (9.675) and floor (9.850).
Sarah Sullivan (So., Salem, Or.) was the only
other Falcon gymnast to land a spot on the podium, tying for third
on floor with Tiffany Chan of UC Davis.
Seattle Pacific tumbles at Oregon State Feb. 25
before heading home March 5 to host Sac State.
