Lee, Binetti, Kroon Make Basketball's Academic All-District Teams
February 17, 2005

SEATTLE (Feb. 17) ­ Jordan Lee, Tony Binetti and Brittney Kroon of Seattle Pacific University have been voted to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VIII team for men's and women's basketball.

Lee (Sr., 6-1, Tacoma, Wa./Life Christian) is a repeat first team selection for the men. He is averaging 12.5 points and ranks among the Great Northwest Athletic Conference leaders in three-point shooting accuracy (.466). Lee is a Christian theology major with a 3.75 grade point average.

Binetti (Jr., 6-1, Enumclaw, Wa.) , a business administration major with a 3.58 GPA, was chosen for the second team. Binetti leads the conference in overall shooting accuracy (.605) and is No. 2 in three-point percentage (.516). He averages 14.3 points and 4.7 assists. Seattle Pacific, ranked 17th nationally, is 17-5 and currently tied for first in the GNAC.

Kroon (Jr., 6-4, Wasilla, Ak.) made the women's second team. The top shot-blocker in NCAA Division II last year, she currently averages 3.50 to lead the GNAC, and is also the field-goal percentage leader (586) while averaging 9.2 points and 6.6 rebounds. Kroon is a history major with a 3.70 GPA. The No. 4-ranked Falcons are 20-2 and in first place in the GNAC.

District VIII comprises eight western states. First team selections are now under consideration for Academic All-America.
