SEATTLE (Feb. 14) Danielle Ayers-Stamper
of Seattle Pacific University was selected as the womens
indoor track and field athlete of the week in the Great Northwest
Athletic Conference.
Ayers-Stamper (Jr., La Crosse, Wa.) won and
broke GNAC records in both the 60-meter hurdles (8.84 seconds) and
high jump (5 feet, 9¾ inches) at the Husky Classic. Both were
NCAA qualifying marks and the high-jump clearance was also the
best in Division II this winter.
Seattle Pacific seeks to defend its GNAC indoor
championship Saturday in Nampa, Id.
