Ayers-Stamper Breaks High Jump, Hurdle Records
February 3, 2005

SEATTLE, Wa. (Feb. 12) -Danielle Ayers-Stamper of Seattle Pacific University cracked her own Great Northwest Athletic Conference high jump record to place fourth at the Husky Classic track & field meet Saturday at Dempsey Indoor.

Ayers-Stamper's (Jr., LaCrosse, Wa.) mark of 5 feet, 9/3/4 inches/1.77 puts her at No. 1 in the NCAA Division II. She also placed tenth in the hurdles with a personal-best 8.84 to be at No. 12 nationally.

Kinyatta Leonhardt (So., Petaluma, Ca.) clocked in with a personal best in the 60 dash (8.04).

Other SPU athletes who competed in the invitational included pole vaulters Allie Hedges (Jr., Richland, Wa.) and Amy Harris (Jr., Philomath, Or.), who cleared 11-9 and 11-3, respectively.
