SEATTLE (Feb. 7) ­ Jason Chivers of Seattle Pacific University was selected the Great Northwest Athletic Conference men¹s basketball player of the week after pacing the first-place Falcons (17-4) to a pair of home wins with 52 points and 29 rebounds.

Chivers (Sr., 6-8, Los Angeles, Ca./Palmdale) tied a GNAC record with 20 rebounds to go along with his 29 points in the 87-74 win over Saint Martin¹s Feb. 2. He scored 23 points in the 72-65 win over Central Washington Feb. 5 and made 22 of 31 field goals for the week.
