COLORADO SPRINGS, Co. (Feb. 5) - Kari Kelly won
the vault competition as USA Gymnastics first-ranked Seattle
Pacific University tumbled a season high team score in finishing
second to Centenary College, and ahead of host Air Force Academy
193.525 to 191.800 to 188.600 in a Mountain Pacific Sports
Federation gymnastics meet Saturday night at Cadet West Gym.
Kelly's (Sr., Yakima, Wa.) first place 9.775
vault score helped the Falcons reach a season high team total of
191.800. Debra Huss (So., Orangevale, Ca.) danced a share of
second place on floor exercise, scoring a 9.800 tie with Air
Force's Shonna Iwaniec.
Centenary's Sarah Ball took the all-around
competition with a 38.850, despite just one top-three individual
finish.
Seattle Pacific hosts Oregon State Feb. 12.
