Seattle Pacific Women Hold Steady at No. 2 Nationally
February 1, 2005

SEATTLE (Feb. 1) ­ There was no movement among the top five teams of the NCAA Division II women's basketball rankings with Seattle Pacific University remaining No. 2 behind Drury (Mo.) for the second week.

The Falcons (17-1), who have won 15 straight, are followed by Shaw (NC), Washburn (Ks.) and Emporia State (Ks.). They host Western Oregon Thursday at 7.

Other West region teams listed include Western Washington (No. 16), Chico State (No. 17) and Cal Poly Pomona (No. 19). SPU has beaten all three this season. Its sole loss was at North Dakota, now 22nd.
