University of Washington Tumbles Past Falcon Gymnasts

SEATTLE, Wa. (Jan. 28) - Carly Dockendorf won two individual events and the all-around competition as the 22-ranked University of Washington took first in a four-team meet Friday night at Bank of America Arena. The Huskies scored 195.075 to defeat No. 20 Arizona (194.800), No. 24 Minnesota (193.700) and Seattle Pacific University (191.025).

Dockendorf took first on uneven bars with 9.875, and tied with Katie Johnson of Arizona to win floor exercise (9.850). Johnson also topped vault and finished just behind Dockendorf's winning all-around score of 39.150 with 39.075.

Debra Huss (So., Orangeville, Ca.) tied for third on floor exercise to help the Falcons to their best event performance of the night (48.475) and a season-high team score.

Seattle Pacific drops to 0-3 on the season and tumbles at Air Force on Feb. 5. The Falcons return to Seattle Feb. 12, to host Oregon State. Official start time is scheduled for 7PM.
